Future resting place of Helen Palms

Robert Ivan Palms of Redmond died Saturday of pancreatic cancer. He was 75.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 8, at Redmond Grange Hall.Mr. Palms was born Feb. 6, 1929, in Olympia, Washington, to Ira and Florence (Makaimoku) Palms. He was raised and educated in Shelton and Grapeview, Washington.

He served in the Army for three years.

He married Helen Holbrook on Sept. 29, 1951, in Salinas, California.

Mr. Palms was a commercial truck driver. He retired in 1988.

He enjoyed his family and friends. He liked to travel and attend auctions. His interests included welding and machinery.

His survivors include:

Wife, Helen, of Redmond

Son, Howard of Klamath Falls

Daughter, Tena Grabar of Redmond

Brother, Henry of Hollfeld, Germany

Sister, Patricia Palms-Hori of Tacoma, Washington

and five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and two nephews.
