Dean "Deano" A. Krasselt of Bend died Wednesday of natural causes. He was 73.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. today at Niswonger, Reynolds and Tabor Chapel.

Mr. Krasselt was born Jan. 1, 1929, in Palouse, Wash. He married Wanda Callicott on Oct. 30, 1954, in Monterey, Calif.

He served in the Army and was awarded the national defense medal.

Mr. Krasselt was a mechanic for Murray & Holt Car Sales, a school bus driver and a tow truck operator.

He enjoyed fishing, rodeos, NASCAR racing and his grandchildren.

Survivors include his two daughters, Debra Solberg and Elaine Highsmith both of Bend; three brothers, Charles of Mesa, Ariz., Jim of Sand Point, Idaho, and Don of Portland; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be made to Bend / La Pine Hospice.

Niswonger, Reynolds and Tabor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
