Betty Q. Bishop of Prineville died Wednesday of natural causes. She was 79.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, at Prineville Christian Church.

Mrs. Bishop was born Aug. 28, 1924, in Harrisburg to Cecil and Bessie (Dykstra) Quimby. She grew up and attended school in Halsey and Harrisburg.

She married Elmer Anstine in 1943. On May 13, 1999, she married Harvey Bishop in Junction City.

Mrs. Bishop was a member of the Prineville Christian Church.

She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, fishing, camping and animals.

Her survivors include:

Sisters, Enda Quimby of Portland and Linda Nelson of Chiloquin

Four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her son and brother.

Nicholas "Nick" Adam Santiago of Sisters died Thursday of cancer. He was 20.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Sisters High School auditorium. Interment will follow at 2 p.m. at Terrebonne Pioneer Cemetery.

Mr. Santiago was born Oct. 14, 1985, in Oregon City to Alan and Alice (Ponte) Santiago. He graduated from Sisters High School in 2004 and from munitions tech school at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, Texas. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an airman first class. He was a member of Calvary Chapel Fellowship in Redmond. He enjoyed tae kwon do and paint ball.

His survivors include:

Carl "Bud" Haywood of Crooked River Ranch died of a heart attack at his home. He was 73.

A viewing will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Autumn Funerals in Redmond. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Terrebonne Pioneer Cemetery with Pastor Fred Morgan officiating.

Mr. Haywood was born Jan. 19, 1928, in Jennylid, Ark., to Carl and Georgia (Maxwell) Haywood. He married Betty Lou Harrison on May 6, 1949, in Wenatchee, Wash.

He served in the Navy during World War II. He was on the USS Saratoga and USS Fall River.

Mr. Haywood was ordained by the International Ministerial Association in 1964 and pastored in McKinleyville, Calif. He then worked for Tri-Valley Growers Plant I, a fruit canning company.

He was a member of the Teamsters #748, National Rifle Association, Oregon Hunters Association and Redmond Shooting Club. He enjoyed guns, hunting and the outdoors.

His survivors include:

Daughters, Margaret "Margie" Woodriff of Crooked River Ranch and Katherine Works of Redmond

Sisters, Maxine Bothe of Oakdale, California, and Helen Williams of Oklahoma

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Francis M. "Frank" Rehmer of Redmond died October 11, 2004 of Parkinson's disease. He was 76.

A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., today, Oct. 13, at Autumn Funeral Home. A rosary will follow at 7 p.m. at the same location. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 14, at St. Thomas Catholic Church. A graveside service will follow at Terrebonne Pioneer Cemetery. A reception will follow at 1 p.m. at the Redmond Grange Hall.

Mr. Rehmer was born March 18, 1927, in Momence, Ill., to Joseph B. and Anna Rehmer. He attended St. Joseph's College. He married Doris J. Denoyer on July 8, 1950, in Kankakee, Ill.

Mr. Rehmer served in the Navy from 1945 to 1946. He worked as a data processing specialist until his retirement in 1991.

William "Bill" John Lawry Trythall of Redmond died March 21. 2006. He was 76.

Mr. Trythall was born Aug. 9, 1929, in Franklin, N.J., to William and Lottie (Lawry) Trythall. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II and the Korean War. He married L. Gail Kerosky on Sept. 7, 1964, in Richmond, Virginia.

Mr. Trythall worked as a foreman at a lumber mill. He was a past commander of Veterans of Foreign Wars in Nevada. He wrote several Western short stories, mysteries and horror stories. He enjoyed building and flying radio controlled airplanes.

His survivors include:

Mrs. Buck was born Oct. 30, 1949, to Phylip and Beatrice (Carroll) Vernier in Vancouver, Wash. She graduated from Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in Paris. She married David Buck on March 22, 1985, in Woodland, Wash.

She was a Jehovah's Witness and studied the Bible with many people. She enjoyed gardening, hiking, skiing and canoeing.
