Watching the Arrival of Spring

Spring is trying hard to break through the still freezing nights here....

The trees are showing the development of leaves.

The dandelions are uncontrollably painting the ground yellow.

In the midst of all this, some time ago, someone planted the tree wells of this gravestone
with daffodils and grape hyacinths at Greenwood Cemetery,
and they have now burst into bloom.

The squirrels are running around and picking up pinecones.

The birds are loud and busy.

Soon, the trees will be full....

The Good Lord sends us on many journeys in life. Some are happy, some are sad, but He will always walk with us. On this sad journey He is with us now. We lost a very special person on Sunday, December 21, 2008. Jack is with our sister Ladora, who passed away on July 24, 2005.

Jack L. Stuart was a father, a friend and a grandfather who never met a stranger. He left behind a wife, Selma. They would have been married 60 years on April 30, 2009.

Also surviving him are two daughters, Jean and Ruth (son-in-law, Paul), son, Tony (daughter-in-law, Nancy), son-in-law, Robert, seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

As we start this new journey in our life, he will be there in spirit, guiding us. He has his work cut out for him because we are a close family, but a stubborn one. We will truly miss him; we love him and he will always be in our hearts and never forgotten.

Viewing for Mr. Stuart will be at Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Chapel from 12pm - 2 pm on Friday, December 26. The funeral service will be at 2 pm, followed by burial at Greenwood Cemetery. Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home is proud to assist the Stuart family.
