Walter L. “Toof” Douglass, of Bend, died Friday. He was 93.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Eastmont Church in Bend.

Mr. Douglass was born June 26, 1914, in Wellsville, Mo., the son of William and Mary Douglass. He graduated from Bend High School in 1934. He married Violet Douglass.

Mr. Douglass worked as a millworker for Shevlin-Hixon Lumber Company, Leonard Lundgren Lumber Company and Jeld-Wen Millwork, retiring in 1979. He was a member of Eastmont Church. He lived in Bend for 84 years.

Survivors include his wife and a daughter, Virginia, of Oregon City.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
