Margaret G. (Coffelt) Hackleman died Oct. 17 of natural causes at a local care facility. She was 94.

A graveside service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., at Greenwood Cemetery in Bend.

Mrs. Hackleman was born Dec. 16, 1905, in Lebanon to James and Mary (Pickens) Coffelt. She graduated from Crook County High School, and taught school at Barnes and Crook County, for several years.

She married Frank 'Abe' Hackleman on Sept. 1, 1928, in Eugene. He passed away in 1953. They owned a ranch in Prineville, which she and her family operated after her husband's death. She sold the ranch in 1973.
Mrs. Hackleman was a member of the First Baptist Church, serving as clerk, a past president of B.Y.P.U., and a member of the Crook County Cattlewoman's Association of Prineville.

She enjoyed travel, playing the piano, branding time at the ranch, cooking, and gardening.

Survivors include her two daughters, Betty Wilson of Billings, Mont., and LaVonne Ritches of Burns; two sisters, Hazel Spence and Marie Cordin, both of Sutherlin; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers.

Niswonger, Reynolds & Tabor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
