Donald Delano Hennig of Bend died Monday of natural causes. He was 71. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Niswonger-Reynolds Chapel in Bend.

Mr. Hennig was born April 4, 1934, in Aberdeen, Washington, to Richard and Catherine Hennig. He was an Oregon State University graduate. He served in the U.S. Navy. He married Carolyn Loudenback on Sept. 7, 1968, in Portland. Mr. Hennig worked for Oregon Cutting Systems as an engineer. He enjoyed his friends, playing bridge and traveling.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Harvey of Salem; and a sister, Marilyn Schoonover of Corvallis.
