Florence A. Williams, of Prineville, died Novewmber 30, 2006. She was 87.

Mrs. Williams was born Aug. 16, 1919, in Lone Pine to Sherrid and Anna (Terrell) Bozarth. She married Earl Williams on Sept. 28, 1935, in Redmond.

Mrs. Williams worked as a cook for a truck stop in Redmond. She later worked as a cook for the hospital in Redmond, and she was the first cook at the hospital in Madras. She retired in 1984. She and her family settled east of Bend in the Horse Ridge area in the early 1930s. She moved to Culver in 1955.

Mrs. Williams was a member of Our Day Out Club. She enjoyed travel, playing cards, cooking, Central Oregon history, gardening and spending time with family and friends.

Her survivors are:

Son - Tom, of Helena, Montana

Daughters - Elvina Kentner, of Prineville, and Kaye Corwin, of Culver

Five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren

She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers and two sisters.
