Kathleen Lillian Werner of Sweet Home died June 14, 2003. She was 73.
Mrs. Werner was born June 14, 1930, in Oregon City to Victor and Grace (Griffin) Hubbard. She grew up in Gladstone and married Oscar Baier on Nov. 23, 1945, in Vancouver, Wash. She later married Rienheart Werner on Dec. 2, 1978, in Portland.
She was a homemaker and also worked for the Willamette Lutheran Home in the kitchen and laundry for 13 years.
Mrs. Werner was born June 14, 1930, in Oregon City to Victor and Grace (Griffin) Hubbard. She grew up in Gladstone and married Oscar Baier on Nov. 23, 1945, in Vancouver, Wash. She later married Rienheart Werner on Dec. 2, 1978, in Portland.
She was a homemaker and also worked for the Willamette Lutheran Home in the kitchen and laundry for 13 years.
Mrs. Werner lived in Salem and Keizer for many years before settling in Terrebonne in 1977. She moved to Sweet Home in 1996 to be near her family.
She was affiliated with the Clear Lake Methodist Church and the Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Terrebonne Pioneer Ladies.
Mrs. Werner enjoyed cooking, singing and embroidery work.
Her survivors are:
Son Rodney - Baier of Salem
Daughter - Janet Sylvester of Sweet Home
Sisters - Zella Saunders of Portland and Carol Cippola of Gresham
Eight grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first and second husbands, a son and a daughter.
