Howard "Don" Donald Huss of Crooked River Ranch died Septimber 6, 2002 at the Oregon Veterans Home in The Dalles. He was 75.

Mr. Huss was born June 23, 1927, in Faulkton, S.D., to Joseph and Irene (Hardieck) Huss. He married Shirley Hardbeck on Oct. 24, 1948, in Forest Grove. They moved to Vernonia.

He served in the Army from 1945 to 1947.

Mr. Huss worked for Dave's Garage until 1955. He then went to work at Commercial Retrofit in Portland. He retired in 1985.

After retirement he moved to Crooked River Ranch.

Mr. Huss enjoyed bowling and playing golf.

Wife - Shirley of Vancouver, Washington

Brother - Benjamin of New Mexico.
