E. Alberta (Baker) Brainerd of Bend died Wednesday. She was 76.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Niswonger, Reynolds & Tabor Chapel.

Mrs. Brainerd was born March 30, 1926, in Bakersfield, Calif. She moved to Bend in 1971 and married Harold Brainerd on July 21, 1973.

She was a court clerk. She enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the desert.

Survivors include her husband of Bend; four sons, Dirk of Eugene, James, Stephen and Charles, all of Portland; two daughters, Lynette Bullington and LeeAnn Thornton both of Bend; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Bend / La Pine.

Niswonger, Reynolds & Tabor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
