Helen Mildred Nickerson, of Bend, died Thursday of natural causes. She was 88.

No services are planned.

Mrs. Nickerson was born March 8, 1918, in Portland to William and Roselin (Bradshaw) Wolfe. She married Earle Nickerson in 1938 in Logan, Utah.

Mrs. Nickerson moved to Bend from California in 1969. She had worked in circuit board assembly for Douglas Aircraft, as a nurse for a hospital in California and as a manager for Winchells Doughnut Shop. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed quilting and gardening.

Survivors include a son, Kael Easton; three daughters, Louise, of Bend, Marilyn Silver, of Dayton, Ohio, and Susan, of Denver; two grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband.
