William L. Ernst of Bend died Saturday of natural causes. He was 47.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. today at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mr. Ernst was born Jan. 23, 1956, in Bend to Wayne and Mary (Gilchrist) Ernst.

He was co-owner and operator of a domestic service company.
 
Mr. Ernst was affiliated with B.P.O.E. Lodge 1371 in Bend, the National Rifle Association and Ducks Unlimited.

He enjoyed the outdoors, motorcycles and skiing. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his sons.

Mr. Ernst loved writing and performing music.

Survivors include his two sons, John and Andrew, both of Klamath Falls; his mother, Mary Ernst of Gilchrist; two brothers, Gil and John, both of Gilchrist; and one sister, Jan Houck of Bend.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Niswonger, Reynolds and Tabor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
