Lester T. Hunt of Crescent died Wednesday of natural causes. He was 94.

A viewing will be held from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 29 at Niswonger, Reynolds Funeral Home in Bend. A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 1, at Niswonger, Reynolds Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Hunt was born Aug. 20, 1909, in Yell County, Ark., to Thomas and Sillar (Kitchens) Hunt. He grew up in Arkansas and married Mollie (Jones) Hunt on Aug. 15, 1929, in Gravelly, Ark.

He moved to Gilchrist in 1953 and worked as a millwright for the Gilchrist Lumber Company. He retired in 1974.

Mr. Hunt enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodcarving.

Survivors include his son Thomas of Crescent; a daughter, Helen Moore of Crescent; two brothers, Rex of Grass Valley, Calif., and Ray of Havana, Ark.; six grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, two brothers, a sister and a granddaughter.
