Martin Johann Johannsen of Terrebonne died Saturday of natural causes. He was 76.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Terrebonne Pioneer Cemetery. A potluck will follow at the Terrebonne Horse Club.

Mr. Johannsen was born October 2, 1929, in Island Foehr, Germany, to Max and Martha (Clausen) Johannsen. He was raised and educated in Germany. He married Magdalena Wauer on November 20, 1953, in Germany. He and his wife emigrated from Germany to Sebastopol, California, in 1954, and moved to Terrebonne in 1965.

Mr. Johannsen worked as a carpenter, cabinet maker and construction worker until he retired in 1992. He also raised dairy cows and sold the milk. He was a member of the Carpenters Union, Hermann Sons and the Terrebonne Horse Club. He enjoyed farming and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

His survivors include:

Mr. Frederick was born April 14, 1919, in Flaxville, Montana, to Eugene and Mable (Laughlin) Frederick. He married Elizabeth Doby.

Mr. Frederick worked as a farmer. He also drove trucks in the CCC camp. He enjoyed motorcycles and being a farmer and mechanic.

Elizabeth “Betty” M. (Doby) Frederick, of Terrebonne, died February 14, 2008 of natural causes. She was 89.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Terrebonne Pioneer Cemetery.

Mrs. Frederick was born May 4, 1918, in Ekalaka, Montana, the daughter of Berry and Pal (Elmore) Doby. She married Eugene Frederick. They were married for 52 years.

Mrs. Frederick graduated from high school in Ekalaka. She worked in farming and was a homemaker. She was also a waitress for 30 years. She enjoyed travel, farming, word-search puzzles and spending time with family. She had lived in Central Oregon for more than 50 years.

Her survivors include:

Mr. Miller was born Aug. 10, 1922, in Cedar Glades, Arkansas, to John and Ruby (Philips) Miller. He married Clara Horner on June 4, 1956.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

Mr. Miller worked for Jefferson Plywood and bought Skyway Gas Station in 1959.

Mr. Shafer was born Dec. 30, 1926, in Haden, Colorado, to Edgar and Verna (McHan) Shafer. He married Elizabeth Miller on March 20, 1995, in Quartsite, Ariz.

He served in the military during World War II.

Mr. Shafer worked as a plumber mostly in Seattle and Tacoma, Wash. He lived in Metolius for one year.

James J. Brannan of Terrebonne died July 11, 2004 from extended illness. He was 83.

Mr. Brannan was born Dec. 4, 1920, in Montpelier, Ohio, to James and Harriet (Jacobs) Brannan. He graduated from Montpelier High School.

Mr. Brannan served in the Army during World War II under General Patton.

He married Frances (Morrison) Brannan on Aug. 24, 1941, in Cambria, Michigan.

Mr. Brannan worked as a machinist in Ohio and as a poultry farmer in Southern California. He later operated a dairy farm in Grants Pass until his retirement in 1979, when he moved to Central Oregon.

He was a member of the Highland Baptist Church and VFW Post 4108. His interests include fishing, hunting, sports, family and his Christian faith.

His survivors include:

Mrs. Warner was born October 13, 1959, in Hood River to Gene and Barbara Peyton. She attended David Douglas High School and was named to the All-American High School swim team six times and to the Big All-American Team twice. She attended the University of Oregon on a swimming scholarship. She married Kevin Warner on July 10, 1982, in Portland.

Mrs. Warner worked as a receptionist for Parr Lumber in Redmond. She enjoyed travel and animals, especially her cat and dogs.

Kelly Peyton Warner, beloved wife of Kevin Warner, died June 15, 2006, at age 46. Kelly was born in Hood River, Oregon, but moved to Portland at age three. She joined the David Douglas Swim Team when she was five and had a successful career while swimming on the high school team and at the University of Oregon which she attended on a swimming scholarship. She was named to the All- American High School team six times and twice to the big All-American Team. She was awarded the Hayward Scholarship in 1977.

On July 10, 1984, Kelly married Kevin Warner. They reside in Sisters, Oregon, where Kelly worked for the Redmond Parr Lumber as a receptionist.

She had a passion for travel and loved to plan trips. Her other passion was her love for her animals. Her dogs, Chuck and Dave, and her cat, Hannah, were much loved members of her family.

Kelly is survived by her husband, Kevin; two stepsons, Jason and Blane; her parents, Gene and Barbara Peyton; her sister Debra (Jim) Connor; and aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her sister, Olympic Gold medalist, Kim Peyton McDonald.

She will be sorely missed by Kevin's large family. His mother, Kathleen, and his siblings Kathryn, Dawn, Shannon, Susan, Shawn, Brian, Lisa, Lori and Kristi who all loved her dearly.

The funeral will be held at 1:00 Wednesday, June 21, 2006, at the Sisters Community Church at 15220 McKenzie Highway in Sisters, Oregon.

Mrs. Palmore worked as a day care provider. She enjoyed children and playing poker.

Mrs. Arledge was born March 20, 1947, in Salem to John and Elizabeth (Stewart) Miller. She graduated from Redmond High School and attended the Shilo Bible Institute. She married Vern Arledge on June 16, 1972, in Redmond.

Mrs. Arledge had worked as a coordinator for Care Associates, as owner and president of Loving Touch Home Service, as a supervisor for Central Oregon District Hospital's environmental services and as vice president of The Living Word Inc. She was also a licensed and ordained minister. She enjoyed oil painting, playing autoharp and gospel singing.
