Future resting place of Vernon D Arledge
Darlene A. Arledge, of Redmond, died June 25, 2006 of bone cancer. She was 59.
A viewing will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. today at Autumn Funerals in Redmond. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Word of Victory Church in Redmond. A graveside service will follow at Terrebonne Cemetery.
Mrs. Arledge was born March 20, 1947, in Salem to John and Elizabeth (Stewart) Miller. She graduated from Redmond High School and attended the Shilo Bible Institute. She married Vern Arledge on June 16, 1972, in Redmond.
Mrs. Arledge had worked as a coordinator for Care Associates, as owner and president of Loving Touch Home Service, as a supervisor for Central Oregon District Hospital's environmental services and as vice president of The Living Word Inc. She was also a licensed and ordained minister. She enjoyed oil painting, playing autoharp and gospel singing.
Her survivors include:
Husband, Vern
Daughters, Tina Schneider, of Terrebonne, Joyce Wittenberg, of Helena, Montana, and Jayne Schaefer, of St. Louis, Missouri
Mother, Elizabeth Miller
Brother, Dennis Miller, of Albany
and 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son and her father.
