Roy James Cheney of Terrebonne died February 8, 2002 of natural causes. He was 75.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Autumn Funerals Chapel in Redmond.

Mr. Cheney was born June 3, 1926, in Casper, Wyoming, to James and Josephine (Fenton) Cheney. He married Velma Webber in 1944, in Casper, Wyoming.

He served in the Air Division of the U.S. Navy.

Mr. Cheney owned and operated a pest control business. He moved to La Pine in 1958, then Redmond and Terrebonne in 1963.

He was affiliated with the Jehovah Witnesses. He enjoyed piloting his own plane, hunting and fishing.

His survivors include:

Wife, Velma, of Terrebonne

Sons, David of Redmond and Mike of Terrebonne

Daughters, Carol Davis of Brookings, Mary Krema of Redmond and Linda Meyers of Naples, Florida

Mother of Casper, Wyoming

Brother, William of Casper, Wyoming

12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother.

Autumn Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
