Vivian Frances (Rice) Pettit of Terrebonne died july 8, 2001 of natural causes. She was 87.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday July 21 at Smith Rock Community Church in Terrebonne.

Mrs. Pettit was born Dec. 20, 1913, in Marceline, Missouri, to James and Ave (Blue) Rice. She married Walter Pettit.

She moved to Oregon in 1939 and had lived in Terrebonne since 1976.

Mrs. Pettit was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Terrebonne Ladies Pioneer Club and was affiliated with the Smith Rock Community Church.

Mrs. Pettit enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Her survivors include:

Son, Gary of Aumsville

Daughters, Charity Philippi of Redmond, Sharron Church of Salem and Betty Cash of Lincoln City

10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and a sister.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Redmond, Sisters and Grant County.

Autumn Funerals is in charge of arrangements.
