Dolores Irene Clark (Root) beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother peacefully passed away on March 7, 2009, at Hospice House in Bend with her family by her side. She was born on June 30, 1944, in Caldwell, Idaho and God blessed her to have Jack and Eileen Root to be chosen as her parents. The family moved to Madras when she was a small child. She attended all grades in Madras and graduated from Madras Union High School in 1963. Dolores loved to ride her horse, Honey whenever she could. She was the eldest of three sisters.

Dolores married Roy Clark on May 15, 1965, at the Free Methodist Church in Madras. They had a son and daughter that loved her very much. The family lived in Madras and then later moved to Bend in 1969, where she continued to live.

Dolores loved to spend time outdoors. She loved going fishing and camping with family and friends. She loved to travel to the coast and spend time playing with her children. She enjoyed music and singing in the church choir. Family gatherings were always a joy for her.

She is survived by her father, Jack Root and wife, Virginia of Madras; sister, Peggy Boyle and husband, Don of Madras; sister, Nancy Couch and husband, Clark of Madras; son, Craig Clark and wife, Sarah of Bend; daughter, Rhonda Kloos and husband, Tracy of Bend; and her grandchildren, Nicolas, Hollie, Rachelle and Bethany of Bend, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Eileen Root.

Graveside services will be at Greenwood Cemetery on Saturday, March 14, at 11a.m.

A Celebration of Life and a lunch will follow at Eastmont Community Church.
