Jacob M. Bennett of Crooked River Ranch died Friday due to leukemia. He was 4.

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Terrebonne Pioneer Cemetery.

Jacob was born to Mike and Denise Bennett on July 23, 1995, in Bend.

He attended Head Start in Terrebonne.

Jacob was a special little boy. He was an inspiration to fellow patients and staff at Doernbecher Children's Hospital in Portland.

He enjoyed collecting pens, telling knock-knock jokes and playing with his brother and sister.

His survivors include:

Parents, Mike and Denise of Crooked River Ranch

Sister, Lauren, of Crooked River Ranch

Brother, Dillon, of Crooked River Ranch

Grandparents, Ron and Gloria Bennett of Eugene, Mairi Holman of Tigard and David Kent of Portland

Great-grandparents, Harold and Jane Schnabel of Portland.

Memorial contributions in his name may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation in Portland.
