Charlotte Ann (Crawford) Whitman of Bend died Thursday of natural causes. She was 61.

A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Niswonger, Reynolds and Tabor Chapel. A graveside service will follow at Greenwood Cemetery.

Mrs. Whitman was born Dec. 17, 1940, in Chandler, Texas, to Albert Crawford and Pauline Winkleman. She married Glenn Whitman on Jan. 24, 1960, in Fort Sill, Okla.

She moved to Bend in 1960. She trained to be a nurse at St. Charles Hospital. She worked as a licensed practical nurse. She also worked at Fairview State Hospital in Salem. She and her husband then served as proctor parents at J Bar J Kids Ranch. She sung with the Sweet Adelines in the 1970s. Mrs. Whitman enjoyed singing, cooking, sewing, gardening and reading, especially fantasy and science fiction novels. She also enjoyed spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband of Bend; two sons, Jay of Kennewick, Wash., and Eric of Bend; a daughter, Cally of Corvallis; mother of Kingston, Okla.; and a brother, J.W. Crawford of Kingston, Okla.
She was preceded in death by her father.

Niswonger, Reynolds and Tabor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
