Paul John Dinsmoor of Crooked River Ranch died Sunday. He was 62.

A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday at Autumn Funerals in Redmond. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Terrebonne Pioneer Cemetery. A gathering of friends will follow at 1 p.m. at the Crooked River Ranch Water Board meeting hall.

Mr. Dinsmoor was born May 11, 1943, in Tekonsha, Mich. He grew up and graduated from high school in Lyle, Minn. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard an aircraft carrier, the USS Constellation, during the Vietnam War. He married Patricia Dinsmoor in August 1971, in Myrtle Creek.

Mr. Dinsmoor worked as a millwright for Clear Pine in Prineville and as an industrial electrician for Warm Springs Composite. He was active in 4-H and was a horse barn superintendent for the Deschutes County Fair. He was president of the Crooked River Ranch Water Board. He enjoyed horses, fishing and rock hunting.

His survivors include:

Wife, Patricia

Son, Peter of Portland

Daughter, Amanda of Crooked River Ranch

Brothers, Pete and Dennis, both of Michigan; a sister, Myrna Canrude of Minnesota

and four grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Autumn Funerals of Redmond is in charge of arrangements.
