John B. Bertino Jr., of Redmond, died July 6, 2006. He was 75.

Mr. Bertino was born Jan. 26, 1931, in Marysville, California, to John and Velma (Mayers) Bertino. He served in the U.S. Navy for two years. He married Eileen Dunne on April 30, 1954, in Yuma, Arizona.

Mr. Bertino worked for the city of San Diego until he retired to Central Oregon in 1994. He enjoyed wood carving and gardening.

His survivors include:

Wife, Eileen, of Redmond

Son, Michael, of Bend

Daughter, Pamela, of Bend

and a brother, two sisters, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
