Roy "Gene" Dimick of Prineville died September 18, 2003 of natural causes. He was 77.

No service will be held.

Mr. Dimick was born March 27, 1926, in Guthrie, Oklahoma, to Roy and Daisy (Crick) Dimick. He was raised and attended school in Guthrie. He married Juanita Stephens on Oct. 4, 1946, in Windfield, Kansas.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

Mr. Dimick worked a variety of jobs, including paint contractor, oil rigger, steeplejack, horse trader and in truck and trailer sales. He lived in Battleground, Washington, Redmond and Portland before settling in Prineville in 2000.

Mr. Dimick was a member of the Nazarene Church and the Masonic Lodge in Guthrie.

His survivors include:

Wife, Juanita, of Prineville

Daughters, Carla Yost of Portland, Kay Hill of Madras and Vickey Leonard of Prineville

Brothers, Dwain of Choctaw, Oklahoma, and Warren of Midwest City, Oklahoma

Sisters, Verna Grant of Oklahoma City and Bonnie Harlan of Guthrie, Oklahoma

six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Prineville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
