Doris H. Moberly of Terrebonne died December 11, 2004 of natural causes. She was 88.

A memorial service will be held January 22, at the family's residence.

Mrs. Moberly was born July 7, 1916, in Burley, Idaho, to Olaf and Belle (Eggleston) Peterson. She graduated from the University of Oregon with a degree in music education. She married Jay Moberly on Dec. 31, 1976, in Ogden, Utah.

Mrs. Moberly was a homemaker and a piano teacher. She was a member of the American Association of University Women and was involved with many humanitarian causes. She enjoyed playing bridge, golf, piano and spending time with family and friends.

Her survivors include:

Husband, Jay, of Terrebonne

Son, John M. Herbert Jr. of Darby, Montana

Daughters, Carolyn Messerly of Littleton, Colorado, and Emily and Ruth Herbert, both of Redmond

Brothers, Elmer Peterson of San Jose, California, and Eugene Peterson of Santa Barbara, California

Sister, Lillie Rhorer of Grants Pass

four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

Niswonger-Reynolds Funeral Home of Redmond is in charge of arrangements.
