Lowell Everett Dent of Redmond died Saturday of natural causes. He was 82.

A viewing will be held from noon to 7 p.m. Friday at Autumn Funerals Chapel. A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Terrebonne Grange with Carrol McIntosh officiating. Burial will follow the service at Terrebonne Pioneer Cemetery.

Mr. Dent was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Jamestown, North Dakota. He married Norma Bristowe on March 17, 1944, in Perth, West Australia.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

Mr. Dent was a timber faller and a rancher. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of Redmond; one son, Rod of Eugene; two daughters, Edna Klann of Prineville and Barbara McGladrey of Rainier; a brother Al of Salem; and 10 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lowell Dent Memorial Fund at Redmond Health Care Center.
