Jack Voos of Tumalo died Thursday of natural causes. He was 79.

A viewing will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19 at Niswonger, Reynolds Funeral Home in Bend. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20 at the Hospice of Bend-La Pine followed by a graveside service at 2 p.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Bend.

Mr. Voos was born Nov. 8, 1924, in Rosalia, Wash., to Harold and Emma (Sykes) Voos. He grew up in Bend and graduated from Bend High School in 1942. He served in the Army during World War II from 1943 to 1946. He married Jean (Davis) Voos on July 2, 1957, in Reno, Nev.

Mr. Voos was a 40-year employee of Brooks-Scanlon. He retired in 1983.

He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and enjoyed woodworking, reading and the outdoors.
Survivors include his wife of Tumalo; a son, Larry of Longview, Wash.; two daughters, Tracy Navarro of Boise, Idaho, and Jamie Dishman of Bend; and four grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and a sister.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of Bend-La Pine, 2075 NE Wyatt Ct., Bend 97701.
Niswonger, Reynolds Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
