Charles “Dean” Hillman, of Redmond, died Sunday of complications from a stroke. He was 80.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Crooked River Ranch Chapel.
Mr. Hillman was born Jan. 8, 1928, in Gallatin, Missouri, the son of George and Stella Hillman. He married Jean Blevins on March 16, 1946.
Mr. Hillman worked as a lathe operator at a plywood mill in Madras. He later worked as plant manager at Central Oregon Seeds. He was a member of the North Unit Irrigation District for several years. He enjoyed camping, jigsaw puzzles and spending time with family. He moved to Central Oregon in 1956.
His survivors include:
Wife, Jeane
Sons, Roger, of Crestone, Colorado and Kelly, of Charlotte, North Carolina
Daughters, Linda Vibbert, of Gateway, and Bonnie McDonald, of Madras
Brother, Chet, of Twin Falls, Idaho
11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Autumn Funerals of Redmond is in charge of arrangements.
