Frank Henry Land of Prineville died June 9, 2001 of natural causes. He was 80.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the "Heritage Chapel" of the Prineville Funeral Home. Interment will be at Terrebonne Cemetery.
Mr. Land was born June 1, 1921, in Madisonville, Tenn.
He served in the Army during World War II in Italy and Germany.
He married Marie Picklesimer in 1949, in Georgia. She died in 1965. He later remarried.
Mr. Land went to college to study agriculture after the war. In 1953, he moved to Burns. In 1970, he moved to Central Oregon, finally settling in Prineville.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Club and the American Legion.
Mr. Land enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, bowling and spending time with his family.
His survivors include:
Sons, Roger of Prineville, and Rick and Robert, of Bend
Daughter, Teresa Crescenzi of Kirkland, Washington
Stepsons, Chuck James of Dayton, Washington, and George James of Mollalla
Stepdaughters, Joanne of Bend, Linda Roberts and Carol
Sister, Pearl Graves of Bend
and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, a son, a daughter, four brothers and five sisters.
Memorial contributions may be made to Pioneer Memorial Hospice, 1201 NE Elm St., Prineville, 97754.
Prineville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
