Richard Warren McCoy Sr. of Redmond died November 11, 2003 of natural causes. He was 75.

Mr. McCoy was born June 6, 1928, in Stockton, California, to Antone and Grace (Clark) Freitas. He married Juanita Davis on June 26, 1947, in Reno, Nevada.

Mr. McCoy worked as a heavy equipment operator for the State of California highway department. He moved to La Pine in 1988, to Prineville in 1993 and then to Redmond shortly thereafter.

Mr. McCoy was a member of Crooked River Ranch Grange #955. He enjoyed working in his shop with wood and metal and spending time with his family.

Son, Richard Jr. of Lee Vining, California

Daughters, Rita Wright of Redmond and Roxie Wood of Ridgecrest, California

Mother, Grace McCoy of Lancaster, California

Brother, William of Lancaster, California

Sister, Kathy of Gualala, California

12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his stepfather and a brother.
