Ralph Edward Sutterfield, of Bend, died July 16, 2006 of natural causes. He was 83.
A funeral service will be held at noon today at 818 Elm St. in Redmond. A graveside service will follow at Terrebonne Pioneer Cemetery.
Mr. Sutterfield was born March 4, 1923, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to William and Jimmy Ellen Sutterfield. He served in the U.S. Army. He married Mary Catherine Sutterfield on April 8, 1945, in Henryetta, Oklahoma.
Mr. Sutterfield owned and operated an appliance repair business. He retired in 1989. He was a member of The Blind Association and the Church of God. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting and gardening.
His survivors include:
Wife, Mary Catherine, of Bend
Sons, Jimmy, Ralph and Randy
Daughters, Vickie Waite and Cathryn Eubank
Brothers, Robert and Rolland
Sisters, Mildred Ogg and Wilma Webb
nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
