Richard Glenn Larson of Bend died Sunday. He was 52.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Church of the Nazarene.


Mr. Larson was born Feb. 2, 1949, in Rialto, Calif., to Marvin and Geraldine Larson. He married Sarah Goodrich Taylor in 1980 in Bend.

He served in the U.S. Special Forces Division from 1968 to 1970.

Mr. Larson worked in construction. He moved to Central Oregon in 1974.

He was affiliated with the Nazarene Church. He enjoyed bicycling, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include his four sons, Matthew Taylor, Tim Taylor, Robert and Roger, all of Bend; two daughters, Christine Walters of Klamath Falls and Nancy of Bend; mother of Rialto, Calif.; father of Palm Desert, Calif.; a brother, Wayne of Bishop, Calif.; and a sister, Marcia McRill of Lakewood, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
