Jimmie Leroy Parnell died Friday. He was 67.

A viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday at the Niswonger, Reynolds and Tabor Funeral Home in Bend. A private burial will follow at the Greenwood Cemetery.

Parnell was born on Sept. 23, 1934, in Picher, Ore., to Melvin Luther Parnell and Bulah Robitaille Parnell.  He married Bertha Lance on July 6, 1951.

He worked as a carpenter.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and reading.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Cynthia Juarez of Bend; a sister, Carolyn Sue Tyrrell of Wasilla, Alaska; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Durby Ray Parnell.

Niswonger, Reynolds and Tabor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
